Aaron Cannonier stars on day of dominant motocross displays
There was a host of dominant displays as the Bermuda Motocross Club season continued at the Southside Moto Sports Park last weekend.
Aaron Cannonier was flawless in the Over-30 Division, winning all three heats in a hard-fought battle against Lorenzo Burch, who had to settle for second in each race. Ronald Trott completed the podium places after finishing third in the opening two heats and fifth in the final outing.
There was also a perfect outing for Aiden Simmons, who finished the day with three successive victories in the 85cc division. Rudell Pitcher finished behind Simmons in each race to claim second overall, ahead of Azai Bur, who sealed two fourth-place finishes and third.
Another close-fought tussle was played out in the 50cc division, in which Tinho Tucker Wall ultimately prevailed against Kody Paul, finishing ahead of his nearest rival for victory in each of the three heats. King Clarke also enjoyed a consistent performance, finishing third in each race.
Cassidy Spencer-Furbert was another rider who dominated, claiming victory in all three heats in the Pee Wee Division. Micah Desilva was second overall after finishing behind Spencer-Furbert in the first two outings and fourth in the third race, while Messiah Baker completed the podium.
There was also an unbeaten display from Jazuri Easton-Thompson in the Novice Division. He beat Michael Maclean in each of the races to claim overall victory, with Kwaz Dill third overall after bouncing back from a sixth-place finish in the opening heat with back-to-back third places.
Zano Tucker sealed overall success in the Expert Division after winning the opening two races ahead of Kai'jun Simmons before finishing second to the latter in the final outing. Allan Degraff rounded out the podium places after claiming three successive third-place finishes.
Another rider to enjoy the winning feeling was Azai Burt, who prevailed in the 65cc Division after a second and two first-place finishes. Mikah Alves was the overall runner-up with two fourths and a second ahead of Mazaii Tucker, who ended up with finishes of third, second and fifth from his three outings.
