Dominant displays aplenty at Southside Raceway
Three drivers enjoyed perfect outings on a day of dominant displays in the eleventh round of the Bermuda Karting Club National Championships at the Southside Raceway.
Jason North remained unbeaten in the L206 division, winning all three heats ahead of David Selley and Mar Tucker.
There was also a flawless performance from Scott Barnes in the Shifter Class, claiming victory in each of the three races. Ryan Burgess finished behind Barnes in the first two heats and was third in the last, while Jorja Thomas and John Carreiro also got themselves in the podium places.
Blake Horseman proved the man to beat in Shifter KZ Class as he completed a clean sweep of victories. Ryan Rebello, who finished third in the opening race, went on to claim successive second places with Brandon Franks and Chris Ricca also finishing within the top-three places.
There was a closer tussle for glory in the Tag Seniors, in which Brian Bulholes ultimately prevailed, after claiming two first places and a second. Blake Horseman also claimed a race win, while also finishing second and third, with William Dunkley wrapping up the day with two thirds and a second.
Tanner Correia and Syah Pedro also enjoyed a battle for supremacy in the Cadet Class with the former winning the first two heats before the latter took the chequered flag in the final race. Hunter Borland was also consistent throughout with three successive third-place finishes.
It was much the same story in the three-driver Tag Junior Class, in which Jonah Moniz won the opening heat before finishing second to Roman Wilkinson in the next two races. Lucas Flood, who was runner-up in the first heat, settled for third place in the remaining outings.
