Jason North continues his karting supremacy of L206 Senior class
Jason North continued his dominant form with an unbeaten series in the fourth round of the Bermuda Karting Club National Championships at the Southside Raceway on Sunday.
Competing in the L206 Senior class, North picked up three successive victories, finishing ahead of Marc Tucker in the first two heats before prevailing over Robert Wheatley in the third.
Nathan DeCosta was also in top form in the Tag Senior class winning all three races. Jason Correia claimed two second-place finishes, with Brian Bulhoes and Jayden Brimmer also getting on the podium.
Correia also claimed a third in the Stock Shifter class, in which Shannon Caisey enjoyed a perfect run of form. Jason DeCouto and Cody Sousa-Saints also managed to finish inside the top three.
There was also delight for Ryan Rebello in the highly competitive Shifter KZ class as he picked up three straight victories, holding off the challenges of Stephen Corrado and Blake Horseman, who were forced to settle for runner-up and third-place finishes in each of the heats.
Tanner Correia proved the driver to beat in the Cadet class with three wins from three. Ethan Wheatley and Syah Pedro both sealed second-place finishes, while Sadie Hocking also impressed, finishing third in two of the heats.
It proved a closer tussle in the Junior class with Roman Wilkinson claiming two race victories to Lucas Flood’s solitary success. Jonah Moniz managed to finish inside the top three in each heat, with Hunter Borland also sealing a third place in the second race.
In the two-driver L206 Masters class, David Barbosa came out on top over Richard Walker Talbot in each of the three outings.
