Motocross riders savour success in New Year’s Day Trophy Series
Bermuda Motocross Association’s Trophy Series concluded at Bermuda Motorsports Park in Southside, St David’s, on New Year’s Day.
Overseas-based rider Jazuri Easton-Thompson (113 points), who trains and competes at the South of the Border Motocross training facility in South Carolina, won the expert class by a comfortable eleven-point margin to start his year off with a bang.
Preston Martin (102 points) and Zico Majors (69) took home the silver and bronze medals to round off the podium.
Aaron Cannonier (125) reigned supreme in the Over-30 class, with Lorenzo Burch (110) and Ronald Trott (88) finishing second and third to also earn themselves a trip to the podium.
Anyari Persad (106) secured the Novice title, with Deige Paynter (100) finishing runner-up and Z’naz Jones (80) third.
A’jahni Foggo (122) clinched the 85cc title while Mikah Alves (102) and Jaylon Glasford (90) came away with the silver and gold medals. Nyla Goodchild (125) clinched 85cc Ladies honours.
Tinho Tucker Wall (116) conquered the 65cc class with Cassidy Spencer-Furbert (82) finishing runner-up and Kody Paul (75) in third.
Spencer-Furbert (122) secured 50cc class honours followed by Messiah Baker (111) and Remington Boden (96), who took home the silver and bronze medals.
Pee Wee honours went to Kaden Bean-Wolfe (116), with Tiano Tucker Wall (112) finishing a close second and Ace Moniz (99) third.
The Trophy Series featured four heats spread across Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
