Updated: Oct 21, 2020 04:35 PM
The lifeguard service at a popular beach was today suspended because of rough seas.
The Department of Parks said lifeguard cover at Horseshoe Bay stopped at 1pm until further notice.
A spokesman said: “High surf signs have been erected, and in the interest of safety, members of the public are urged to refrain from entering the water until the signs are removed.”
He added: “The department thanks the public for their co-operation and apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
