Halloween goes cute with baby fancy dress party
Halloween was celebrated in miniature at a party in the park today.
The baby members of Mumsea Bermuda playgroup gathered at Astwood Park in Warwick dressed in their spookiest clothes or as their favourite movie and TV characters.
The costumed children included Princess Leia from Star Wars, a pumpkin, avocado on toast and a skeleton.
Ashley Perry, the founder of Mumsea Bermuda, said: “It was a little windy and rainy, but the skies cleared up just in time for some fun.”
Ms Perry created the Mumsea Bermuda group a year ago after she became pregnant and wanted to meet other mums and their babies.
She added: “It initially started up as a mama group for those pregnant and due in 2020 to meet other expectant mums.
“I didn’t know anyone who was pregnant or who had children at the time, so I wanted to meet others going through the same journey as I was.”
Ms Perry said: “It really blossomed over the past year as the need for support for new moms rose drastically during Covid-19.”
She invited new mothers to get in touch and sign up to attend weekly gatherings.
Ms Perry added: “The group is for mums and babies, but fathers do attend some special events.
“Our group offers support during pregnancy, post birth and throughout motherhood.”.
“We host private events for our mamas and babies, and meet up once or twice a week for outdoor play dates.
“We’d like to welcome all new mums and really hope anyone who joins finds the safe space and new mama friends they are looking for.”
