An investigation has been launched after a truck caught fire in Pembroke in the early hours of this morning.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Curving Avenue at around 3.45am.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Fire and Rescue Service, said that the open-back truck was already fully engulfed in flames when a fire crew arrived at the scene.
“The flames were quickly extinguished by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus,” the spokesman said, adding that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
The vehicle fire was the second in just seven hours. Firefighters extinguished a car fire on Suffering Lane in St George’s which occurred at around 7pm yesterday.
That fire is also under investigation.
