City holiday trash collection schedule

The City of Hamilton today announced garbage collection changes for the holiday weekend.
A spokeswoman man said there would be:
• No residential trash collection or pick-up of kitchen oils until next Tuesday.
• Collection will be carried out as normal tomorrow.
• Sunday morning trash collection from restaurants and bars only.
• There will be no collection next Monday.
• Normal garbage collection will resume next Tuesday.
The spokeswoman said: “All garbage should be placed on the sidewalks or designated garbage areas by the time indicated in the refuse collection schedule.
She appealed to people not to put out trash unless a collection is scheduled for that day.
