A man who was caught with drug equipment at the Hamilton Police Station will be sentenced in Magistrates’ Court next month.

Tayo Smith, 21, from St George’s, admitted having a grinder at the station when he appeared in court.

The court heard that Smith was at the station for an unrelated matter in August 2022.

Police searched him and found the grinder, which was later found to contain traces of THC, inside his bag.

Magistrate Tyrone Chin adjourned the case until March 27 for sentencing and released Smith on $750 bail until that time.
