Officers made the discovery near Rockaway Lane, Southampton, less than a mile from the 70-year-old’s home on Whale Bay Road.
Ms Niklaus was reported missing on August 30.

The BPS added later: “During the search, the lifeless body of a female was discovered in an overgrown area off of Rockaway Lane, Southampton.”
