WindReach Recreational Village’s equine therapy programme has received a boost thanks to a donation from the Comittee of 25.

People with special needs will be able to ride more safely at Windreach thanks to a donation from another charity.

The Committee of 25, whose mission is to support children with medical and/or special needs donated an unspecified amount of money funds to cover the cost of supplies for WindReach’s educational and therapeutic programmes.

These included funds to buy new horse tack and other equipment upgrades.

Bernadette Wilson, Committee of 25 board member said: “We are delighted to help WindReach and look forward to seeing our contribution used in assisting this wonderful facility continue all that they offer our children of Bermuda.”

Tina Nash, WindReach executive director added: “Our Therapeutic Riding and Life Skills Programmes were in need of horse tack and equipment upgrades to ensure the safety of our participants and that programme objectives are realised. We are very grateful to the Committee of 25 for their dedication to Bermuda’s youth and we appreciate this much needed donation!”
