Witnesses sought after Sunday crash in Warwick

Motor traffic in Warwick was diverted for about an hour yesterday, after a car and a motorcycle collided on Middle Road just east of Camp Hill.

The incident occurred at about 4.40pm and is not believed to have caused serious injuries.

The motorcycle was travelling east on Middle Road and the car was leaving the parking area of Island Cuisine when the two collided.

The rider, an 18-year-old Pembroke man, was said to sustain injuries that were not life-threatening.

He was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The car driver, believed to be a 35-year-old Pembroke woman, was not hurt.

Both vehicles involved were damaged.

Traffic was diverted at Camp Hill, Burnt House Hill and Tamarind Vale until the scene reopened after an hour.
