Views of St George’s Harbour, a building steeped in history, Storekeeper’s House is perfect for daydreaming.

The building was built in 1816 by the British Armed Forces, according to the property’s agent, Peter Lever of Wigwam Real Estate Ltd. It was used by the Americans as a place to recharge submarine batteries during the Second World War. It was later abandoned and renovated completely in 2001. The first homeowners moved in just before Hurricane Fabian in 2003.

The two-bedroom upper floor unit now up for sale has since been upgraded.

“All four are different layouts and different sizes,” said Mr Lever.

There’s a powder room and a spacious bathroom shared by the two bedrooms. It boasts a whirlpool tub, a separate shower and a bidet.

There are wood floors throughout the house and a Murphy bed in the guest bedroom, which offers “views of Customs dock and every visiting sailboat as it comes into the Island”.
