This will be aboard the M.V. Elizabeth featuring music by DJ Keem, DJ Diid James and DJ Drifter, with $5 drink tickets, a full bar, games and float toys, raffles and prizes, complimentary food and 1000 free jello shots. The boat will board at Albuoy’s Point at 11am for a prompt departure at 11.30am. It will then leave Mangrove Bay at 5pm, returning to Albuoy’s Point at 6pm. Part proceeds will be donated to the Women’s Resource Centre.nA little later in the month than usual because of Cup Match, Ten Cafe & Bar will be hosting their Monthly Wine Tasting on Thursday, August 8th with a new twist. Ten will now be including a BBQ menu, with items coming fresh off the grill set up on their front patio. Wines will accompany each course and will be presented by Burrows & Lightbourn. The tasting will begin at 6pm and the cost is $45 per person, plus grats. This involves various associated events from the 8th until the 12th of August, although the main attraction will be the show itself, Mambo Nights, on Saturday, August 10th in the Harbourview Ballroom at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. Confirmed performers include Dance New York, Comomango Dance Company from Montreal, Latin Energy and Latin Energy Kids from Toronto, and local talent from Sabor Dance School. This year’s show will also include live music by Latin Grammy award winner Willy Torres and Cuban pianist A. Duran. Doors open at 8pm, showtime is at 8.30pm and social dancing will follow the show from 10.30pm until 2am. Tickets cost $45 and are available from www.ptix.bm. This event will feature lots of family-friendly entertainment in Victoria Park from 3pm until 8pm, featuring mistress of ceremonies Power Girl with live music from Hugh Murray, Bermuda All-Star Steel Band, Ranam Burch, and many more. As usual, there will be a children’s area with fun castles, face-painting, cotton candy and popcorn. If you don’t want to take your own picnic with you, there will be food vendors available. Admission is free.n Mariners RFC invite you to spend your Saturday afternoon in a slightly different way at Bermuda’s First Annual Fun Golf Open on Saturday, August 24th. The event will begin at 2pm with a tournament on the new million dollar mini-golf course, featuring 18 exciting holes that replicate the best golf holes from around the world. Participants can also expect three free drinks at Fun Golf plus promotional drinks offers, a BBQ, many prizes to be won and a sunset cruise to party back to Hamilton. Tickets can be purchased for $50 for individual players, who will be put in a scratch team, or as a team for $200 from www.pTix.bm.
