The Bermuda Yoga Festival 2014 presents a screening of Yogawoman on Sunday, December 1st. This award-winning documentary follows some of the women at the forefront of today’s yoga movement and is narrated by Annette Bening. The screening will be at 3pm in the Tradewinds Auditorium at BUEI. Tickets are $20 and available at Oceans Gift Shop or by phoning 294-0204.
The Ensemble Singers invite you to swing into the festive season with a musical celebration of traditional and popular Christmas music on Sunday, December 1st. Their concert, Swing a Christmas Carol, will start at 4pm at St. Mark’s Church on South Road, Smith’s. The usual array of floats, performers and free candy will all be on offer at the annual Marketplace Santa Parade in the City of Hamilton on Sunday, December 1st. Make sure you don’t park along the parade route (outlined on the flyer) as the roads will close at 3pm while the parade will start at 5pm.

As part of the Historical Heartbeats Winter Lecture Series, the North Village Band Concert will be adding a little extra atmosphere to late-night shopping on Friday, December 13th. From 5.30pm, they will be playing Christmas carols on the porch of the Bermuda Historical Society at Queen Elizabeth Park (formerly Par-la-Ville Park). The band will be under the direction of Majors Barrett and Kenneth Dill. This event is free to the public and some light refreshments will be served. Caisey Family Productions invites you on a spiritual journey at their annual musical performance, The Gospel According to David, on Sunday, December 22nd. From 4pm at the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall, performers will include the Caisey Family, Wild Honee, Present Truth, Live Wire and Zion all performing to the Caisey Family Band (James Richardson, Derek Simmons, Darius Richardson, Sydney Simmons and Mike Payne). This is a song and dance production, with a little spoken word, and all songs are spiritually-based from various genres. Tickets cost $50 for adults, $10 for children aged between 5 and 12, and are available at Caesar’s Pharmacy. From December 1st, the City Box Office will also have them between 8.30am and 2.30pm. Rosewood Tucker’s Point’s Annual Christmas Day Celebration at the Point will take place, unsurprisingly, on Wednesday, December 25th. The festivities will begin at noon with a cocktail reception on the Terrace, followed by a seated four-course luncheon at 1pm, specially prepared by Chef Brambilla. The cost is $135 for adults and $65 for children, excluding grats and beverages. The Point will be serving the regular à la carte dinner menu in the evening.
