Young rugby fans, are you looking for something to do over the Christmas break? BRFU Elite Rugby Camp for girls and boys, will take place at National Sports Centre on Saturday, December 28th and Sunday, December 29th. Rugby Canada and USA Rugby are supplying some of their top ex-professional players to coach young Bermudians, including under-12s, under-14s, under-16s, under 19s and University. Over the two days, coaches will be working on developing core skills of players such as catching, passing, tackling and attacking space. They will also be looking at other elements of rugby that have become so important in the professional game such as recovery, video analysis and nutrition. Whether you are new to the game, or looking to further develop your skills, this is a superb opportunity to learned from some of the best in the world. By popular demand, the Caledonian Society of Bermuda’s famous Hogmanay Ball will return for the first time since 2010 and will be held at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Tuesday, December 31st. The event kicks off with a cocktail reception (cash bar) from 7.30pm with a rendition of Auld Lang Syne at 8pm (midnight in Scotland). Attendees will then be seated for 9pm for a delicious Scottish-themed dinner with wine included.
