The finale of this year’s Summer Sundays Series will be on Sunday, September 7, and promises a focus on old school and new school reggae music with the theme Reggae Vibes. Following his untimely passing in February, some of the people who loved him have organised the Tomasz Tabor Memorial Golf Tournament, taking place at Tucker’s Point Golf Course on Monday, September 22. Registration will begin at noon with a 1pm shotgun start. There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams, as well as Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive. Enjoy a fun evening for a good cause at Action on Alzheimer’s & Dementia’s Rum Tasting event on Friday, September 26. This will take place at Bermuda Society of Arts in City Hall from 6pm until 8.30pm. Proceeds will benefit Action on Alzheimer’s & Dementia, a Bermuda-based charity who provide services such as monthly support group meetings for caregivers and help with finding local resources. Now in its 17th year of supporting women’s causes in Bermuda, the PartnerRe Women’s 5K Run & Walk for 2014 will be on Sunday, October 5. This event is for women only and the Juniors 2K Race will begin at 8.15am, with the Women’s 5K Run, Competitive Walk and Fun Walk all beginning at 9am, from the Botanical Gardens. Race awards include thousands of dollars in prizes for all age categories, plus fantastic draw prizes and grand draw prizes.

There are also gift bags and T-shirts available for the first 1000 registrants. The entry fee ranges between $5 and $30, depending on your age, whether or not you are a MAAC member, and whether you are a runner or a walker.
