Enjoy magical seasonal festivities at the annual Bermuda National Trust Christmas Walkabout in the charming old town of St George’s on Friday, December 5.

The excitement and romantic yesteryear elegance of this popular event should not be missed. There will be entertainment throughout the town and refreshments will be served at various locations marked on maps that will be distributed on the evening. Children can meet Santa and make Christmas crafts at the Edith Clair Spencer Hall.

The Trust’s Walkabout has become a popular community event with the generous support of volunteer musicians, dancers, singers and school groups marking the start of the Christmas season. The public are invited to explore some of the oldest continually occupied buildings in the New World, which will be decorated and candle lit for the event.

Old favourites such as the Old Rectory, Samaritans’ Lodge, Buckingham, Tucker House and the Globe Hotel will also be open on the evening, and King’s Square will have a host of dancers and musicians for your entertainment.

The Bermuda National Trust could not hold this event without a huge amount of community support, their Trust volunteers and generous sponsor, Butterfield Bank.

The Walkabout will run from 6pm until 9pm and, as well as festive, it is also free!

For more details, see the National Trust website at www.bnt.bm.
