• Bermuda’s most beautiful asset will be celebrated at the 5th Annual Bermuda Beach Art Festival on Saturday, March 19. Artists of all skill levels are invited to participate in this island-wide eco art competition that sees Bermuda’s beautiful beaches adorned with amazing art drawn right on the sand, incorporating the rocks, caves or shape of the beach and exists until the next high tide washes them away. Don’t know anything about beach art? Don’t worry, as each year guest beach artist hosts free tricks and techniques workshops in advance of the competition. To enter, reserve your beach by March 11 by going to www.BermudaBeachArtFestival.com with your individual or team name, category (Adult/Family/Teen/Tourist) and choice of beach. Your choice will be confirmed by return email. Your art must be created between 9am and 2pm on March 19th 2016 and your picture posted to the website by 2:30pm. The main event is on Horseshoe Bay, where they will also feature beach yoga from 11am until noon. The beach yoga will also be at Elbow Beach at the same time. There is no cost to participants or spectators. For more information, contact Nicky Gurret at gurret@northrock.bm, Lynne Matcham at match@northrock.bm, call 295-4597, or visit www.BermudaBeachArtFestival.com.
