The road to 270: help Bermuda Youth Connect to meet UN survey goal
Bermuda Youth Connect is helping the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to get survey responses from Bermudians aged 18-35 to a Global Survey on Youth Digital Futures.
Bermuda’s current response rate is extremely low, making it important to have representation in the largest mapping of the digital economy in small states. Thus, we’re officially on the road to getting 270 survey responses!
This is an exciting opportunity for young Bermudians to express their views on the digital future. Moreover, Bermuda is a small island state with significant information problems, making international research necessary for our island's growth and development. The quote below from the Global UN Policy Network captures why Bermudians need to participate:
“It is this generation that will shape the next generation of technology, and this survey will be important in guiding efforts to best digital support development in small states. This will be the largest-ever global youth mapping of the digital economy in small island states. Voices from small island states tend to be under-represented, and we hope this study will begin to change that.”
Bermudians who complete the survey will also have access to a free course on digital transformation and are welcome to the live chat Bermuda Youth Connect will have in late December with the United Nations Development Programme.
During this conversation, BYC will talk about the survey with a representative from the UNDP, who has offered to field questions Bermudians have about starting a career at the United Nations!
