Ode to an honourable leader
I want to express my deep gratitude for having the chance to speak about the retirement of the Honourable N.H. Cole Simons JP MP, a truly exceptional political figure who has been both my mentor and party leader. I feel honoured to share my reflections on this momentous occasion.
The announcement of Cole’s retirement evokes a mixture of sadness and profound appreciation for the immense contributions he has made, not only to his personal journey but also to the broader political landscape. Throughout his dedicated tenure, Cole has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the principles of public service, thoughtful policy formulation and the nurturing of unity amid diverse perspectives.
As someone who has had the privilege of being mentored by Mr Simons, I can attest to the transformative impact he has had on my growth as a leader.
