Putting Bermuda’s best interest at heart
A movement has begun and there is no stopping it.
The vision of a coalition of independent MPs working for the good of the country and not a political party resonates deeply with me.
Independent MPs will work for their constituents and not a political party.
Decisions made in the House of Assembly will be a conscience vote not a party vote and will be made with Bermuda’s best interest at heart.
I do believe sometimes you have to go backward in order to go forward. Bermuda’s original parliament was all independent MPs, so we will be going back to our roots.
Of course it will be different this time, as Bermuda is completely changed — the socioeconomic system is different, our people are more diverse, we are more integrated and better for it.
Political parties are also slow to get the job done because there are so many meetings and egos involved in decision-making.
We need to be nimble and quick to get goals achieved if Bermuda is to dig itself out of this massive debt hole and bring us back to the leaders we once were.
These are some of the reasons I am running as an independent candidate for Southampton West Central (Constituency 31) in the next election.
Join the movement for independent leaders.
