THE Mid-Ocean News wishes to apologise to former Attorney General Larry Mussenden for publishing unproven allegations contained in last week's lead story headlined "AG allowed wife of Premier to by-pass charity regulations". The Mid-Ocean News is not in possession of any ruling made by Mr. Mussenden at the time he served as Bermuda's Attorney General pertaining to the Tourism Helps Everyone organisation. The newspaper therefore cannnot substantiate claims made by a member of the Bermuda Charities Commission in last week's report that Mr. Mussenden allowed the organisation to by-pass accountability regulations.
