Remove cables or else, angry Eugene tells firm

A FEUD between Bermuda CableVision and Somerset resident Eugene Brangman continued to rage this week.

Mr. Brangman last week threatened to cut a cable which the local cable company had "temporarily" suspended over his West Side and Main Road residence without his full knowledge.

The 52-year-old self-employed painter told the Mid-Ocean News he sent CableVision another letter yesterday, demanding the firm remove the coaxial cable from above his home.

In a copy of the letter, which was forwarded to this newspaper, Mr. Brangman wrote: "Prior to the visit of Hurricane Fabian your cable wires could be seen on the eastern side of this property on the Main Road side.

"Presently, your used wires are now littering this same property on the West Side Road location. Again, we now ask you please come and take your spent wires away from this property. This act is unlawfully and unsociably unacceptable."

Mr. Brangman also demanded CableVision remove the wires before December 11.

He warned: "After December 11, we will feel free to take any appropriate action which we deem necessary to solve our problem.

"This thing is all about respect. It's not about me getting publicity. This can't go on forever. It's now been since November 1, almost six weeks."

CableVision did not return calls to the Mid-Ocean News yesterday.
