Allison Correia of Bermuda has been selected to attend the Global Young Leaders Conference (GYLC) from June 29 to July 10 in Washington, D.C. and New York City. GYLC is a leadership development programme for secondary school students from around the world who have demonstrated leadership potential and scholastic merit. Miss Correia will be among 350 outstanding scholars from around the world to attend the conference.

This year's theme is `The Leaders of Tomorrow Preparing for the Global Challenges and Responsibilities of the Future'. Miss Correia will rub shoulders with key leaders and newsmakers with who have influence over politics, finance, culture and diplomacy and will take part in a carefully designed curriculum designed to build leadership skills.

"The conference challenges students like Allison to cross-cultural barriers and collaborate in a team effort to tackle many of the conflicts facing the world today," said Michael Lasday, executive director of the Congressional Youth Leadership Council (CYLC ), sponsors GYLC.
