British warship cancels stopover
A British warship due into Bermuda this week has had a change of plan and now will not be coming to the Island.
HMS Grafton was due in to Hamilton on Friday morning for a friendly stopover, but has cancelled and gone elsewhere instead.
However, the Seven Seas Mariner cruise ship will arrive, as planned, on Friday for a day-long visit. The cruise liner will sail into Hamilton Harbour in the morning and will leave later the same day.
Other visitors this week include the Somers Isle cargo ship, which is due to arrive today, carrying 90 dry containers, eight refrigerated, and one bundle of break bulk materials, largely made up of lumber.
She will leave on Friday.
The Bermuda Islander cargo vessel will arrive tomorrow, bringing a total of 144 containers, including 111 dry, 22 refrigerated, six open-topped, four flat rack and one tank. She will also sail back out on Friday.
The Oleander arrived with her cargo bulk on Sunday, bringing 166 dry containers, 35 refrigerated, ten cars, four flatbeds, two mafis, and one boat trailer.
She sailed back out again on Monday.
The Eric Sharp cable ship arrivse in Bermuda on Sunday from Jamaica, docking in Dockyard. She will stay indefinitely on station duty.
The bulk cement-carrier Thai Ho brought 8,272 tons of cement for Bermuda Cement Company when she arrived on Saturday evening, before leaving again on Monday. She arrived from Venezuela, docking in Dockyard, and has since made her way to Rhode Island.
The Bahamas-registered Northern Horizon research ship is due to leave this morning, as is the Nos Terra small cargo vessel, which has been on the Island for some weeks getting repairs carried out.
