Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo Until June 28: Adults and students are invited to enter photographs of Bermuda's plants, animals and habitats, including underwater photos, in the Bermuda Zoological Society `Naturally, Bermuda' photo competition. Winning photos will be published in the Bermudian magazine and exhibited at Bermuda Society of Arts Gallery. Cash prizes sponsored by Zip-Pix. Bermuda College Until July 31. On display will be selected pieces of the Masefield Collection, featuring various collectibles of former Governor of Bermuda, Thorold Masefield and Mrs. Masefield, in the foyer of the Bermuda College library. Bermuda National Gallery 1. Until Sept. 7: Bacardi Limited Biennial. Juried Exhibition of Bermuda artists reflecting the breadth and diversity of Bermuda's emerging arts scene. Forty three artists with 83 artworks in painting, drawing, graphics, collage, assemblage, photography and sculpture. Five Centuries of Women Selections from the permanent collection. In the Ondaatje Wing. Images of women from the 16th century to the 21st century, including work by Quentin Massys, Palma Vecchio, Cornelis de Vos, Lucas Cranach, Sir Joshua Reynolds, Carl von Marr, Bermudian sculpture Bill Ming, Sir Henry Raeburn, Joseph Blackburn, Horst Antes, Hale Woodruff, Richard Saunders and sculptures from the African collection from West Africa. Bridge House Gallery Original paintings by well-known local artists and watercolours by the late Alfred Birdsey. Bermuda Maritime Museum at Dockyard From the Fay and Geoffrey Elliott Collection, Bermuda Archives, 2nd floor of Commissioner's House. Until October 13. Bermuda's Defence Heritage, a new 12-room exhibition on the ground floor of Commissioner's House featuring 350 years of local military history, including the stories of the local forces and war veterans. Also in Commissioner's House: 1. The Slave Trade, the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its aftermath; Slavery in Bermuda, (unprecedented exhibit on Bermuda's unique slave past). 2. The Azores and Bermuda, an exhibition on Portuguese-Bermudian history, connections and cultures. 3. To Bermuda: A history of the Bermuda Race (traces the near 100-year history of the biennial Newport-Bermuda sailing race). 4. HMS Malabar Room (a tribute to the Royal Navy in a dining room). 5. United States Navy Room (a tribute in a dining room to the US Forces in Bermuda, 1940-1995). Commissioner's House is part of the Bermuda Maritime Museum and is included in its admission price. TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS & SATURDAYS - World Heritage Town and Garden Walking Tour. 8:45am, Tuesdays; 10am, Thursdays & Saturdays. Meet the Town Crier in front of the Town Hall in King's Square, St. George's, for a fascinating and fun walk around the Town. Tales will be shared about Bermuda and its early beginnings. Sample seasonal fruits and berries, wander along the Town's many narrow, winding lanes.
