The Pacific Princess is on a repositioning cruise and made her final call to the Island yesterday before she will be handed over to her new Italian owners.

She left the Island yesterday afternoon after making a quick stop in St. George's and is now headed for the Azores. She will then go to Lisbon in Portugal carrying 594 passengers.

John S Darrell, spokesman Donald MacPherson said: "This is the final hoorah for the Pacific Princess and Princess Cruises. The Pacific Princess has been sold to an Italian company who are going to use her for the German tourist market."

Meanwhile, the cable ship Ile de Re is currently in Dockyard awaiting further instructions.

On Sunday the Norwegian Dream came to the Island. She moored in the Great Sound before moving to Kings Wharf in Dockyard. She left yesterday morning with 1,652 passengers on board.

Carnival's Legend arrived on Friday and left on Sunday carrying 2,208."

The Somers Isles is leaving today at 10 a.m. She arrived on Sunday carrying 138 containers of which six were reefers."

It is also the final call for the Norwegian Majesty, which is here out of Boston on a repositioning cruise. The ship will now go to Tortola in the Virgin Isles for their tourist season.

The Bermuda Islander is due to arrive tomorrow at 8 a.m. carrying 114 containers of which 25 are reefers; she will leave the Island on Friday.

Coming from Port Elizabeth, New Jersey, was the Oleander, which arrived on Monday carrying 146 containers and 37 refrigerated containers. She also bought in 35 cars, one boat on a trailer, eight flatbeds, one bundle of steel and one bundle of steel posts. She sailed out of Bermuda yesterday morning at 8.10 a.m.
