Local traffic slows down

The cruise ship season continued to wind down this week with repositioning the name of the game.The Norwegian Majesty was due in yesterday from Boston with 1,400 passengers who will be joined by 50 locals who will then sail to St. Martin today as the ship repositions for the winter.

The Pacific Princess will arrive in Knuckles Wharf, Dockyard, for "mothballing" on Friday although neither agents J. S. Darrell or Harbour Radio could say how long it would remain there.

Cruise ship The Seven Seas Mariner is set to arrive on Friday bringing 500 passengers from Charleston, North Carolina. They will then head to Nassau in the Bahamas on Sunday.

But it was business as usual on the container front with The Somers Isles bringing 136 containers including five refridgerated containers yesterday. It will leave today.

The Bermuda Islander will arrive on Thursday with 140 containers including 25 refridgerated containers.

Harbour Radio also reported the arrival of 155 foot ketch the Mikardo in St. George's yesterday.
