Read all about it! Thelma and Louise go from horseback to paperback

THEY'VE been a familiar sight on Bermuda's roads for the last 14 years. Now the donkeys Thelma and Louise can be found in the island's bookstores — and are hoping to generate as much interest there are they do on their Sunday morning excursions pulling a vintage donkey trap. The donkeys' owner Patsy Phillips has put together a new children's book about their many adventures — as dictated by Thelma — which has gone on sale in time for Christmas. Illustrated by Sarah Cunningham, all proceeds raised from the $12 book will be donated to the Bermuda National Trust. To help promote the new volume, Thelma and Louise will be on hand at an autograph (or hoof-printing) session being held at Waterville, the National Trust headquarters, on December 9. The Escapades of Thelma & Louise is also available at both Waterville and the Trustworthy Gift Shop in the Old Cellar, Front Street. See George Somerset's review on Page 21
