Wolves will be minus Nakia Smith, their leading cup scorer, when they clash with Devonshire Colts at St. John's Field tonight for a place in the Friendship Trophy semi-finals.

Smith, who has plundered five goals in the FA Cup so far, was cautioned for persistent foul play in the 2-2 draw with Devonshire Cougars on Sunday, pushing him over the penalty points limit.

The latest BFA action is compounded by the continued absence of Chae Simmons, who will serve the second of a four-game suspension, which leaves coach Dennis Brown with places to fill. "We're not really at full strength but the players that are available are expected to do the same job," said Brown yesterday.

Brown expects to return holding midfield player Tori Davis to the starting line-up but otherwise he preferred to keep his options close to his chest.

Colts are in the similar position from a disciplinary sense, as Gershon Gibbons will be stood down after collecting a third caution in the 1-1 draw with PHC on Sunday. Midfielder Gibbons was one of four Colts players booked by Stuart Crockwell — a statistic that might have future ramifications for the Dudley Eve Trophy.

In the opening match at 7.00 p.m., Somerset Eagles take on Southampton Rangers in the First Division Shield Competition, hungry to bounce back after losing their perfect league record in the 2-2 draw with Boulevard on Sunday.

Eagles coach Albert Dowling said that more work needed to done "on and off the field" after his side displayed an indisciplined performance on Sunday that belied their lofty league standing.

They should have few troubles tonight, though.
