The Royal Gazette's campaign to get people to sign up as organ donors officially ends today.

We hope that it will have raised awareness about the challenges people face when they need organ transplants and about the risks and rewards of becoming an organ donor.

Yesterday and today, a form in The Royal Gazette has been available for people to complete and sign. Half of the form should be kept in a wallet or a safe place, while the other half should be given to family members so they can be certain of a donor's wishes.

Forms are also available at post offices, the hospital, doctor's offices, the Transport Control Department and other public places. We would urge members of the public to sign themselves up; this is the gift that keeps on living and long after we are gone, may do someone else some good.
