Visitor's View

Dear Sir, I have just returned from spending a pleasant week of vacation on your fine island. While there, I read several articles and editorials in The Royal Gazette on the subject of tourism crime. I agree completely with the notion that when tourists are crime victims or feel unsafe they will stay away. This is certainly the case for the Bahamas, where my family stopped going ten years ago.

Unfortunately, I left Bermuda without my camera, an expensive Minolta APX model. I left it in a taxi and despite my calling every taxi agency and private driver no-one came forward to return it. This act cast a pall over the many beautiful people and places we visited. I hope a driver will come forward or at least return the undeveloped pictures of my vacation -- this would certainly influence my family's decision to return.
