We would all be rich January 31, 2000

Yet again Government is telling us how to spend our money. They're saying we can't enter any of these Pyramid schemes. My neighbour's friend told her that he put in five hundred dollars and got back five THOUSAND in just two weeks.

Can't they see that if everyone went into this, there'd be no more poor people? Everyone would have all the money they need.

Why is the People's Party trying to stop us putting an end to poverty I'd like to know? I'd like to know.

MILDRED MELLIE Paget West Parking nightmare January 31, 2000 Dear Sir, I'm not sure if you are aware of the stress and frustration it is to visit your place of business, The Royal Gazette building. I'm sure there are others who can relate to what I have to say.

Since the construction alongside your building the traffic is more hectic and parking is an absolute nightmare! I think the Gazette (you) should get permission to mark out a couple of marked bays that already exist and change them from one hour parking to fifteen minute of free parking for anyone who is visiting the Gazette; I'm sure that your business will see an increase in profits as well as a much happier public. Unless I have time off or an hour for lunch that's the only time that I would take up the challenge of a visit to you. Just think about the public who think like me.

Let's at least think about my suggestion, in the long run it could benefit us all in different ways.

LINDA DESILVA Pembroke West Who is the `last Ratteray' January 27, 2000 Dear Sir, I would like to wish you and your readers a Happy New Year, in so doing I would like for anyone who is related to the Ratteray family to assist me in recording for posterity the name and birth date of the last "Ratteray'' born in the 20th Century in Bermuda.

Having compiled a history of the Ratterays from the "first'' in the year 1800, I would be remiss if I did not capture the last relative born in 1999.

I will have compiled this history and hope to publish it for the Heritage Week celebrations, but before I complete the first 200 years I would have to close out that millennium with the name and family of this boy or girl.

If any of my relatives or friends can provide me with the above information I would be grateful.
