Cold snap delays shipments
of newsprint for The Royal Gazette , Harnett & Richardson reported yesterday.
The MV Concord which has a shipment of 54 packages and 691 rolls of newsprint, was due this Saturday, but the 380-foot single deck carrier, is now expected to reach Bermuda on March 4 because it has been iced-in at Botwood, Montreal.
Container Ship Management said bad weather is also being blamed for the late arrival of the Oleander which arrived a day late on Monday. She had 140 dry containers, 42 refrigerated containers and two cars. She left the next day.
One of the Canadian long-line shipping vessels, East Pack II , came back to the Island to drop off a shipment of fish on Sunday before heading back out to sea Meyer Agencies reported.
In other news from Meyer Agencies, the Bermuda Islander arrived Tuesday with 79 containers including five refrigerated containers. She left the same day.

LARGEST EVER -- Bermuda-registered motor yacht the Izanami , which is the largest all-aluminium yacht ever built, arrived in Bemruda last Friday from Tenerife. The 191-foot vessel, launched last year, is the 39th largest privately owned motor yachts in the world, according to Power and Motoryacht magazine. The Izanami was built by German builders Ourseen for a Japanese owner although its ownership is now uncertain. She leaves on March 2 for Fort Lauderdale.
