In the best of hands

On October 14, 1999 at 4 p.m. just 24 hours into my first Bermuda trip, my motorbike and I slammed into an inconveniently placed kerb. Within a minute, many people came to my aid. Chief among them was Sue who had some RN training and her husband who shepherded my motorbike to safety. Sue waited until the Police and the paramedics arrived with an ambulance. Larry the chief paramedic took me under his wing and got me safely to the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital emergency ward where X-rays were taken -- no bones broken -- and the Doc gave me the go-ahead to continue my holiday. I want to commend all those who took care of me for their professionalism and kindness.
