Hyundai Mipo gets 318b in ship orders

(Bloomberg) — Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co., a unit of the world's largest shipbuilder, received $318 million) in orders from Europe to build four vessels.

The contracts include a 120.8 billion won order for two chemical carriers, which will be delivered by the end of December 2011, the Ulsan, South Korea-based company said in a regulatory filing, without naming the buyer.

Mipo also received a 205.9 billion won order to build two ships that carry containers and cars, it said in a separate filing, again without naming the buyer.

The vessels will be delivered by June 2012.
