Losing souls in the mayhem
December 15, 2009
Dear Sir,
While attending Kumi Harford's funeral, I couldn't avoid feeling emotionally angered with the turn of events. I've written articles on the gang mentality, but attending the victims' funeral is another level of consciousness in which I would never wish to feel or pass these feelings onto the next person. I know the street term of "I'm my brothers' keeper", but when emotions mixed with wines and spirits take over one's temple, it allows Satan to manifest in one's thoughts and actions of destruction.
Unfortunately there will be more shootings, killings and vengeance being spread within our little community. The time for talking has passed us by at a rapid speed, and while the Police are pulling over attractive women trying to get a cell number for their personal gain, we are losing more souls to the mayhem. The Government and Governor are playing a game of chess to determine the best form of action while the citizens on the front line are being slaughtered weekly. I saw a couple of politicians there, but it wasn't enough! I didn't see your Premier at the service and I bet the excuse was he had already made plans.
The couple of Peace movements held on the Island lately have all been of good measure, but the ulterior motives of the individuals that actually organised the get-together is foul. I'm not trying to undermine the forming of unity, but when the participants don't have unity in their own households, what can you possible change in the community? It's time to walk the walk of do as I say and as I do in order for a fleshly change to occur. We all have heard the Truth (scriptures) so we no longer have an excuse for not serving God and doing his will to the fullest …

P.s. I send my heartfelt condolences to first Kumi's Mom & Dad, to his siblings, to his wife and son, to the entire 42nd family and to all whom had the opportunity of meeting Kumi in this lifetime…
Go home and be good
December 11, 2009
Dear Sir,
I see that it is now possible to participate in a home invasion where people are bludgeoned half to death, their property stolen and they are threatened with death by you ... and the punishment is probation ... that is, if you are 15 years old. No more training school, no real punishment ... just go home, watch TV, be good ... that'll teach the kids!
