Veendam bids farewell for 2010
The Veendam cruise ship arrived into Hamilton yesterday afternoon, bringing 1,600 passengers.
It is due to leave at 12.30 p.m. on Friday — which is it's final call for the year. Oleander Voyage arrived to the Island on Monday with 125 dry containers, including seven vehicles and 44 refrigerated ones.
The vessel sailed from Bermuda yesterday at 11.45 a.m.
SISL's Somers Isles arrived to #6 dock in Hamilton from Fernandina Beach, Florida yesterday at 8.15 a.m. It will sail this morning at 8 a.m. after discharging 139 containers including four refers and one boat.
BISL's Bermuda Islander is due to arrive on the Island tomorrow at 8.15 a.m. from Salem, New Jersey. It will leave on Friday morning after dropping off 136 dry containers including 20 refers.
In other shipping news, the MV Mariva Mistletoe stopped five miles offshore in St. David's around 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The vessel's chief officer cut their left arm in an accident and needed medical attention. After stopping over for half an hour, the vessel continued on to Texas.
Cruise ship Enchantment of the Seas arrived to the Island from Baltimore at 10 a.m. on Monday. It was carrying 2,000 passengers on board and left at 2 p.m. yesterday.
