Apology to Sir John

Former Premier Sir John Swan
Due to a copy error, a picture caption in yesterday’s edition wrongly stated that former Premier Sir John Swan had been present in Washington, DC, on the occasion of Civil Rights leader Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech in 1963. In fact, Sir John never claimed to have witnessed Dr King’s speech — but kindly shared his reflections on its significance, along with insights gained from meeting Dr King’s widow in later years. The Royal Gazette sincerely apologises to Sir John for the embarrassment caused by our mistake.
