Allied World Assurance Company has announced that C.V. Starr & Company will offer excess casualty insurance for public entity, residential and commercial contracting risks on behalf of Allied World Assurance Company (US) and Newmarket Underwriters Insurance Company, subsidiaries of Allied World Assurance Company Holdings.

The agreement enables Allied World (US) and Newmarket Underwriters to expand its national excess casualty platform alongside C.V. Starr & Company’s extensive distribution network, and allows C.V. Starr & Company to add further capacity to its existing portfolio.

Allied World (US) senior vice president and head of field operations John McElroy said: “We are excited about our relationship with C.V. Starr & Company, which accelerates the continuing growth of our US platform.

This agreement helps broaden our already extensive network and increases our visibility in the marketplace.”
