Butterfield Bank shares rose to lift the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange 13.32 points (0.26 percent) to close at 5,148.23.

The bank stock improved in value 25 cents (0.4 percent) to close at a new 52-week high of $60.25 after 2,000 shares were traded.

The only other active stock was Bermuda Aviation Services with 32 shares trading but without affecting the closing price of $6.30.

A total of 2,032 shares changed hands, valued at $120,701.
