The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange closed slightly up after the first of trading in 2007 yesterday.

Just one stock changed value and that was Argus Holdings Ltd. which climbed 25 cents (1.8 percent) to close at $14, after 200 of its shares traded.

Bermuda Aviation Services Ltd. moved the greatest volume of shares with 1,000 changing hands as its price closed unchanged at $6.25.

Butterfield Bank also remained unchanged at $56.25 after 100 of its shares traded.

Forty Watlington Waterworks Ltd. shares traded as the issue closed unchanged at $12.50, while Belco Holdings Ltd. finished remained at $23 after 43 shares changed hands.

The Index closed up 8.66 points (0.18 percent) to close at 4.869.00.
