Bank, Belco fall
A day of decline on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange saw the market close below 5,000 points for the second time this week.
There was a 45.03 point fall (0.90 percent) as the market slid to 4,981.30 on a day when shares valued at $572,230 were traded.
Utility company Belco saw its share price drop $1 (4.2 percent) to $23.00 after 250 shares were exchanged. In the same sector 3,900 shares of KeyTech Limited changed hands but there was no change to the closing price of $15.55.
Butterfield Bank remained ever active with 8,500 shares traded which resulted in a 50 cents (0.9 percent) decline in value to $57.50.
The only other shares exchanged on Wednesday were insurance company BF&M as 910 were traded, but with no change in the $18.50 price.
The total number of shares traded on the Exchange was 13,560.
