Bank shares fall

Investors only had interest in banking shares during a quiet pre-budget day on the Royal Gazette / Bermuda Stock Exchange.
The Exchange fell 3.84 points (0.08 percent) to 5,088.85 as a total of 7,400 shares were traded for a value of $181,550.
Bermuda Commercial Bank shares fell in value by 50 cents (5.3 percent) to $9.00 after 5,100 were traded.
There was no change in the value of Butterfield Bank, which closed the day at $58.50 after 2,300 shares were traded during yesterday.
