BAS soars as BSX advances
The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 14.66 points yesterday to close at 3,829.40.
In an active day of trading Bermuda Aviation Services rose $2.05 cents to close at $8 as investors traded in 1,000 shares and Butterfield Bank moved up 10 cents to close at $46.10 on volume of 14,176 shares.
Argus Insurance also rose 10 cents to close at $26.85 on volume of 3,800 shares.
Masters Limited was the only issue to decline as it fell 50 cents to close at $16 as 1,000 shares were traded.
KeyTech Limited traded in 1,000 shares to remain unchanged at $12 and 3,000 Watlington Waterworks shares changed hands to remain unchanged at $12.50 cents.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $829,043.60 and the overall volume of shares was 23,976 shares.
