The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell 52.63 points yesterday to close at 4,329.14.

Moderate activity on the Exchange saw trading declines as Belco fell $1.75 to close at $38 as investors traded in 1,000 shares and Butterfield Bank lost 75 cents to close at $55 on volume of 16,301 shares.

While no other issues changed price, Devonshire Industries traded in 200 shares to close unchanged at $14.95 as 12,250 shares changed hands and BF&M traded in 12,250 shares to close unchanged at $17.50.

The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX yesterday was $1,160,945.75 and the overall volume of shares was 29,751.
