BSX dips on Belco

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index fell slightly in light trading yesterday.Two companies, Argus Holdings Ltd. and Butterfield Bank Ltd., saw their share prices rise.Argus, which last week acquired life insurer Tremont International Life, rose 25 cents (1.8 percent) to close the day at $14, as 700 shares traded.

Two companies, Argus Holdings Ltd. and Butterfield Bank Ltd., saw their share prices rise.
Argus, which last week acquired life insurer Tremont International Life, rose 25 cents (1.8 percent) to close the day at $14, as 700 shares traded.
Butterfield also gained 25 cents (0.4 percent) to close at $56.75 as 305 shares were sold.
Belco Holdings Ltd. saw its share price fall 5.7 percent, as 1,000 of its shares were traded. The electricity provider finished the day at $21.70, a fall of $1.30.
The Index closed yesterday at 4,856.61, down 1.92 points (0.04 percent). Volume of shares traded was 2,005 worth $49,042.50.
