The Bermuda Stock Exchange index dropped one percent yesterday after Bank of Bermuda and Bank of Butterfield shares fell.

Bank of Bermuda lost 50 cents or 1 percent to finish at $47.50 and Bank of Butterfield also dropped 50 cents or 1.6 percent to finish at $30.00. No other stock changed hands.

The index closed down 26.91 points to finish at 2,673.64 on a volume of 2,716 shares worth $125,489. No bonds traded.
