BSX index gains on quiet week

The Royal Gazette/Bermuda Stock Exchange Index gained 1.318 points last week to close at 3,884.08.On a quiet week of trading Belco gained 35 cents to close at $40.35 as investors traded in 1,000 shares and Bermuda Commercial Bank fell 25 cents to close at $8.50 on volume of 100 shares.

The only activity saw Butterfield Bank trade in 14,265 shares to remain unchanged at $46.60.
The total value of the shares bought and sold on the BSX last week was $705,864.00 and the overall volume of shares was 352,279.
